Spring is a time of new growth, bright colors, and joy. These four Spring crafts are sure to turn out beautifully no matter how your preschooler does them. Easy directions to follow, no crazy materials, and no longer than 20 minutes to complete! Sound too good to be true? Check them out for yourself.

Stained Glass Turtle

  1. Gather Materials: Black construction paper, contact paper, tissue paper (yellow, green), and scissors.
  2.  Cut Out the Turtle Shape: Using black construction paper carefully cut out the shape of a turtle.
  3.  Create the Shell Frame: Cut out the inside of the turtle shell to form a frame.
  4.  Prepare Contact Paper: Place contact paper on one side of the shell frame.
  5.  Design the Shell: Add black construction paper details onto the contact paper to create the shell design.
  6.  Fill the Shell: Fill the shell with tissue paper in colors- like yellow and green, placing them on the contact paper.
  7.  Seal with Contact Paper: Once the shell is filled, place another piece of contact paper over the shell to seal in the tissue paper.

Chick Card

  1. Gather Materials: Collect a puffball, pencil, yellow paint, card stock, and a black Sharpie.
  2.  Create the Chick Body: Dip the puffball in yellow paint and firmly press it onto the card stock.
  3.  Make the Chick’s Head: Dip the pencil eraser in yellow paint and press it above the puff ball to create the chick’s head.
  4.  Add Details: Once the paint dries, use a black Sharpie to add details like wings, a beak, and eyes to your chick.
  5.  Decorate and Send: Add any additional decorations to your card, then send it to someone special, just because.

Coffee Filter Flower Bouquet

  1. Gather Materials: Coffee Filters, watercolors, pipe cleaners.
  2.  Prepare Coffee Filters: Take coffee filters and prepare them for coloring.
  3.  Color the Petals: Use watercolor paints to color the coffee filters in vibrant hues.
  4.  Shape the Flower: Once dry, gather the coffee filter in the center and twist it to form the flower shape.
  5.  Secure the Stem: Use a green pipe cleaner to wrap around the twisted portion, creating the flower’s stem.
  6.  Display Your Flowers: Place your beautiful flower creations in a vase or give them as gifts to brighten someone’s day.

Butterfly Patterns

  1. Select Materials: Gather colored paper, scissors, and markers or crayons.

  2.  Cut Out Shapes: Cut out symmetrical shapes for the butterfly’s wings from colored paper.

  3.  Design the Wings: Decorate the wings with patterns using markers or crayons.

  4.  Create the Body: Cut out a small rectangle for the butterfly’s body and attach it between the wings.

  5.  Add Details: Use markers or crayons to add details like eyes and antennae to complete your butterfly masterpiece.
